ArrayStar®

DNASTAR, Inc.is proud to introduce ArrayStar v2.0 software, a microarray gene expression analysis tool developed in collaboration with NimbleGen, specifically to allow researchers to read NimbleGen data files. A demonstration version of ArrayStar software will be provided free of charge for 30 days to NimbleGen service and product customers.

ArrayStar software enables researchers to open and analyze their normalized NimbleGen data files (.call, .calls, and .txt). These data files are tab-delimited columns of text data and are viewed using ArrayStar software by simply opening the data file.

ArrayStar v2.0 contains a wide range of tools that can be used to identify expression patterns and relative expression levels of genes, identify groups of co-regulated genes and visualize their clusters and to identify differentially expressed genes. Clustering methods (Hierarchical and k-Means) permit advanced Heat Map, Line Graph and scatter plot of one or more experiments simultaneously. Scatter plots permit users to:

• Select single or multiple genes on the plot and get dynamic feedback
• View the X-Y plot in logarithmic or linear scale
• View the dynamic R-squared calculation
• Select several commands from the menu at the top of the window

Advanced statistical methods permit a variety of analyses to be conducted on genes within the experiments.

Gene Tables and Sets can be assembled and customized to meet user requirements. Annotations can be imported, edited and customized as needed. Images can be, saved and exported.
