Gregory McGuinness Appointed NimbleGen VP of
International Business

 

MADISON, WI — November 14, 2006 —NimbleGen Systems, Inc., the leading supplier of flexible, highdensity DNA microarrays used in the fastest growing markets for genome research, has named Gregory
McGuinness as Vice President of International Business.

"This appointment is of great strategic importance for NimbleGen’s continued development of our international business,” said Dr. Stanley Rose, CEO of NimbleGen. “Greg possesses both broad and indepth knowledge of many cutting edge technologies that have driven the life science market since the 80s, as well as significant experience building commercial teams within this space. We are delighted to have attracted Greg."

McGuinness has over 19 years of experience in global commercial development of public and private U.S. and European biotechnology companies. Prior to joining NimbleGen, McGuinness was director of European business development for Gene Logic Inc. He spent several years in the U.S. as director of channel management at Affymetrix and director of sales and distributor relations at Genetic MicroSystems Inc (GMS). Prior to GMS McGuinness developed significant business at Stratagene Inc. and Perkin Elmer, Applied BioSystems Division. McGuinness graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacology, toxicology, and molecular biology. He also has a diploma in management studies from Oxford Brookes University and a Master’s degree in international business from Trinity College Dublin.
