Dr.Valgeirsdóttir joined NimbleGen Systems
in 2002 and played a key role in the establishment of NimbleGen
Systems of Iceland. Prior to joining NimbleGen, Dr.Valgeirsdóttir
was a Project Leader in Cell Biology and Gene Expression at Iceland
Genomics Corporation (UVS). She holds a B.Sc. in Biology, with honors,
from the University of Iceland and a Ph.D. in Medicine from Uppsala
University, Uppsala, Sweden with postdoctoral work at the Ludwig
Institute for Cancer Research.
