Dr. Stengele has served as Geschaftsfuhrung of the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, Chemogenix, since 2001. Chemogenix was renamed NimbleGen Systems GmbH in 2004. Prior to his activities at Chemogenix, Dr. Stengele was Senior Vice President, Research and Development since 1999 at NIGU Chemie, Waldkaiburg, Germany, a company of the DEGUSSA group, where he held various levels of increasing responsibility since 1992. Before joining NIGU Chemie, Dr. Stengele received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. from Konstanz University. He completed his post-doctoratal studies at Oak Ridge National Laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Robert Foote.
