Summary:

Roche NimbleGen, Inc. has a full time position available for a Global Product Manager for the Epigenetics (ChIP-chip and DNA Methylation) Product Line. This is an excellent opportunity to join our fast paced, rapidly growing organization. This position has responsibility for product management, strategic and tactical marketing, and the person in this role will work with affiliate organizations and Roche NimbleGen operations to ensure growth, expansion and protection of the Epigenetic portfolio. This role reports to the Director of Molecular Biology Research Products.

Product Manager Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management and support of the product line.
  • Work with project management on new product development project plan creation and monitoring.
  • Effectively communicates business priorities to all functional areas in the project team to ensure goals are met. Identifies potential gaps and proposes possible solutions to new product development processes.
  • Responsible for marketing deliverables supporting new product development activity required to commercialize assigned product lines.
  • Work with marketing communications and other individuals in the product development team on product launch package (user manuals, smart cards, ads, web content, press releases and campaigns).
  • Develops and coordinates global market plans and launch programs to create demand and maximize sales of assigned product lines.
  • Work with affiliate organizations and Roche NimbleGen operations to ensure growth, expansion and protection of the Epigenetic portfolio.
  • Ensures timely development and communication of pre-launch and launch promotional materials, sales aids and educational materials consistent with brand, market, and value proposition development needs.
  • Give formal and informal scientific presentations to prospective customers and at national and international scientific conferences.
  • Assist sales team in achieving overall corporate revenue targets.

Requirements:

  • BS in life-sciences, MS or PhD preferred
  • MBA highly preferred(focus in marketing a plus)
  • Three or more years experience with product management, development, and marketing of new products
  • Three or more years of lab experience preferred
  • Broad familiarity with molecular biology and genomics laboratory techniques, including microarrays
  • First hand ChIP-chip or DNA Methylation microarray experience highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; good oral and written communication skills
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office tools
  • Confidence, determination, self-motivation, and enthusiasm
  • Excellent time-management skills
  • This position requires flexibility to travel 25% - US and international
